  1. Contact information visible for AEs

    AEs need to be able to see the contact information for OPEN and INACTIVE accounts. These are used as a prospecting tool and need to be fully utilized.

    A mobile site has existed for a few years now. It uses the same URL that your desktop version uses and is very Salesperson focused allowing you to manage your book of business from the road with Activities, Deals, and Contact information including some pretty awesome mapping capabilities and route planners for travel. We encourage you to create a shortcut to your mobile desktop and even offer up instructions to do so when you first log in.

    Simply because it is not an application found in the App Store or Google Play Store does not mean it is not a mobile application…in fact many apps used today on those stores (that aren’t games obviously) are simply rebadged mobile websites. It’s pretty cool what can be accomplished with HTML/CSS/Javascript and its variations of libraries!

    This functionality exists today, but your group currently isn’t subscribed to the portion of Matrix that offers it.

    This is part of our List Builder functionality within Matrix Premium where you can build lists of Contacts and Accounts with a TON of useful information and then perform actions on it like plan mapped routes or create mass activities.

    I’ll pass along your interest in this functionality to your success manager, and hopefully your corporate group will upgrade to take advantage of it soon!

  4. reveune history for a duopoly

    For a duopoly with multiple outlets, it would be great to see this by outlet versus all summed up...at least an option to separate it.

    This functionality exists today. I see that you are submitting this feedback from an Account Profile so I’ll talk to that experience and mention others.

    While on an Account Profile, click on the Revenue tab. When the grid loads, click the dropdown next to “Show revenue by…” and change it from Totals to Outlets. This will show a breakdown of the revenue by Outlet.

    Alternatively you can run the Multi-Year Sales History report with a hierarchy like Account → Outlet and see each Account broken down by Outlets.

  5. Show Agency name on the Account Profile Page

    Can someone tell me why the Agency name is not found anywhere besides the Account list only after you click on the plus sign next to the name. Why is it not displayed someone where when viewing the Account?

    Why not have if it displayed after the Advertiser name (top left hand side of the page)? This cannot be that difficult, right?

    The Account Profile now shows you the relationship with the current Agency(s) and any previous agencies, whether from billing or via prospecting, from the Agency Relationships tab.

    Right now, leads are not hidden from other AEs. Just wonder if this could please be an option in the future..

    We have just completed development of this functionality. It’s a setting that Matrix will need to help you implement if the functionality is desired.

    Your Matrix Success Manager will be reaching out to markets requesting this type of functionality, explaining what should be expected when it is turned on, and then enabling this for everyone that agrees.

    Helpful to filter accounts (prospects and billing) to search for prospecting.

    This is handled in our List Builder functionality within Matrix Premium. Pilot markets are in place with your group so hopefully you’ll be able to use this functionality in the near future too!

    While we don’t necessarily agree with this for AE’s due to the inherently lesser security view of data within the system, the functionality does exist for managers. In fact we JUST put it out this past weekend in our latest release!

    Managers have the ability to rename (hey sometimes we spell prospects incorrectly ya know?), merge (sometimes we then get it right when the billing comes in), and group (and sometimes you just need to see all of those auto dealers together as one) their accounts.

    I’m going to send this request over to the success management team and they’ll look into getting the right people hooked up with this ability right away.

  9. Additional email boxes

    Some contacts have several email addresses and we only have a place to enter one. It would be very helpful if there were an option to add additional emails to one contact.

    This has been completed and is ready for you to use. Now all contacts will have a primary and secondary email address that will display in locations like the Contact Profile and List Builder!

  10. account list

    add a drop down of add ons, for example phone number address etc that way when you want to export information, your accounts, a master list etc you will have that info with you. currently i believe what most AE's are doing is printing their snapshot then going back through and writing in phone numbers, contacts and so on.

    This page could benefit users greatly if two enhancements are made:
    1-Export to Excel
    2-Expand page as in reporting to allow users to see all data without scrolling.

    We have completed the responsive design portion of the UI for a new version of Matrix and will be rolling the changes out throughout 2017. The current version of Matrix will not receive this responsive design upgrade, but we think you’ll love what we have in store for you in the next major upgrade!

    I have spun off a request for the export into a separate issue that we will want to address later in our backlog.

  12. Expanding the Name column on the Account List

    Can we get the Account Name to display more characters? We have so many accounts that are city and county related but we need to know what follows: for example, Marinette Chamber of Commerce, Marinette Logging and Heritage Festival, Marinette City......Marinette Farm and Garden...

    We are in the process of redesigning Matrix for 2017 with a new UI in what is called a responsive design. This means Matrix will use as much space as your screen can support in order to show data.

    I’ve taken a look at the Account field in this new design and it appears quite large so it should be able to handle MOST instances of an account now! Pretty cool! I’m sure there will be some user that has a larger name, but there’s always a tradeoff for keeping everything in eye shot vs fringe scenarios.

  13. Merge Accounts

    Manager's should be able to merge accounts with the same name, but that are spelled slightly different. We should also either be able to pick the proper account name, OR it should default to the name it needs to be (if it affects other stations).

    We just released this functionality last weekend!

    Managers now have the ability to group, rename, and merge accounts as long as they’re 100% in your partition (usually market) so that it does not impact others in the system.

    I’m going to pass your names along to our success team and let them know that you’re all interested in this functionality as you need to have the permission to do it first.

    We have added this as part of the Sales Productivity Card which can be found on your Home Page. If it is not there you can add it to an empty slot, remove another card to add it, or create a new tab and add the card there.


    We have defined an Active Account as one that has billed anytime in the last 12 months or later.

  15. The ability for all Account Executives to NOT see one anothers prospects

    Since we operate where an account isn't owned until someone sells it, all prospects are open. Since they are open, 1 account executive can take another AE's prospect and sell it and make the account theirs. My AE's are weird about entering their prospects, so this doesn't help our cause on getting them to use it.

    The other major kink to this is, one not so good AE enters a ton of prospects and never closes an account and another AE who's a good closer is discouraged on trying to sell that account because the other AE has them in…

  16. Automatically reassign quiet accounts

    If an account has not had any activity or billing in the last X days/months it should automatically be reassigned to inactive

    Alright we sure had fun working through this one with many of our customers and trying to understand the business cases around it.

    This led us to creating the Prospecting functionality within Monarch.

    Prospecting allows salespeople to look at accounts owned by their teammates, and to then request ownership of them to their managers. This puts the pressure on salespeople to keep up with their accounts.

    Salespeople can quickly find accounts without recent billing or those lead/prospect accounts that have no converted to billing accounts after a fair amount of time.

    We can’t wait for more folks to get their hands on it. We know that we don’t have every scenario that people will care about, but please keep the feedback coming as this is an area we care deeply about!

  17. Need to claim a lead on specific outlets, not all outlets

    When an AE enters a lead they need to be able to specify the outlet(s) they are claiming the account on. This is particularly critical for digital sellers. Ideally a lead would have the same data entry points as a prospect, the only difference being manager approval.

    Leads can now be added for specific outlets instead of all outlets. This matches the experience that you find with prospects.

    The same is now true for both Prospect and (NEW!) Lead importing.

  18. Add column "OUTLET" to Account List

    In order to increase the speed of reassigning accounts, it would be beneficial to have Outlet at the main grid level instead of expanding out each account for reassignments.

    We have just finished testing a new feature that will allow you to create custom Account, Contact (and in the future Agency) lists.

    One of the features is to create new columns on your Account list like Outlet!

    This will be part of our fall release this year within Matrix Premium so keep your eyes peeled for updates!

  19. Adding REV Type to Account List

    Is it possible to add Rev Type and Potential Rev to Pulling an Account List. TO be able to pull an entire account list and filter by Direct or Agency would be helpful in future forcast and mange activity with Account Executives. These are specific to accounts that have never billed. Just Prospects or Leads.

    We have recently completed a feature called List Builder that will allow you to build Account Lists in a custom fashion including showing Revenue Type and filtering by many different attributes from traditional items like Revenue Type, Outlet, Salesperson to less traditional items in Matrix like City, State, and Zip code. It’s extremely flexible and powerful!

  20. Lead Approval Default

    Instead of giving the AEs the option to pick who their lead is submitted to in alphabetical order, perhaps it should default to their sales manager

    Matrix sets the default to the manager that you have last selected. You do need to pick one the first time, however. For example if i have 3 managers and the last one i selected was “Jill Smith” then the next time i submit a lead it will default to Jill Smith. I can pick others, but that’s what it will start with.
