Salespeople column on Deal Status report should display deal owner rather than deal closer for closed deals.
We use the Deal Status report to track how are AEs are entering and closing deals. If a deal is auto-reconciled, the Salesperson on the Deal Status Report gets set as "Martix Admin", not the actual owner of the deal. Wouldn't it make more sense for the Salesperson column to be always based on deal owner, so the salesperson gets the proper credit for closing the deal?
Our new reporting format allows for Deal to be added as a hierarchy which works out great for this type of a request when used in conjunction with the Salespeople field.

Deal closer is actually the best way to ensure proper credit is given. However, we can improve this process in a way you might not be immediately thinking. Let me explain.
By using the closer, we can ensure proper credit is given even when account reassignments occur. The new AE didn't do the work, the old AE did. However, we should not use Matrix Admin when a deal is autoreconciled. In the event Matrix reconciles for you, we should then set the deal owner as the deal closer.
Would that make sense? I'm just trying to preserve historical accuracy as well as improve current reporting.
