Matrix version of the Morning Edge Report from Wide Orbit
I love the Morning Edge report from Wide Orbit. I wish Matrix had a similar daily report that showed up in my inbox. It shows upcoming activities scheduled, deals that are due, and where I might want to spend my time.

We have just finished testing of a new daily email that will provide Salespeople and Managers with information to help jump start their day. We are calling it the Matrix Espresso Shot!
Each role has different needs and our solution will reflect that as well as offer easy ways to quickly access more details within Matrix.
Managers will be able to quickly and easily tell where there times needs spent by listing the lowest performing Outlets/Offices/Salespeople to their given budgets, find your top/bottom salesperson in terms of activities, andrecent changes in revenue. Each is a snippet of information to help you focus your time, but if you need the full story, a convenient link is available for you to run the full report any way that you please.
Salespeople will be able to quickly and easily identify deals that are closing soon, target big dollar potential churn accounts, see what has been recently imported from traffic, and get a sense of what they have planned in terms of activities for the day.
If you want to reap the rewards of Matrix, but do not have time to log in each day then you’ll definitely want to check this feature out in our February release!

Ah, man. That does sound pretty awesome. What if I told you we are planning something similar to that for Matrix related information just like you said. We're looking to start with Activities and Deal/Forecast related information and going from there.
Would you be interested in being contacted once we get closer to developing this feature? I'd love to run some ideas and designs by someone who specifically asks for this feature.

Activty updates, Forecast Changes, Budget Variance, Churn update, Non Returning status.....basically a quick snap shot of the many features in Matrix. Wide Orbit allows us to customize our Morning Edge Report. The report is delivered to my inbox everyday at 7am. It's great. I can see revenue updates from the previous days, orders entered, pre-emptions, budget to actual revenue, AR update....it's awesome!

If we could provide a report on a daily/weekly basis from Matrix, what would you want to see on it?
What questions would you want this report to answer for you on a regular basis?

Sounds like a pretty cool feature to me.
We're working on enhancing our existing emailing capabilities with Matrix and while this isn't one of the immediate features planned with this update, I know we can technically do something like this in the future (after the update of course). I will definitely keep you up to speed if we move forward with this.
So we don't leave you hanging, are you aware of the iCal features on activities? You can download and import them into your existing calendaring/email client. They typically have alarms that will alert you to when something is coming up.
I know it doesn't help much for the deals right now (unless you create an activity associated with a deal and use the iCal), so all the more reason to look into your request for the future!
