Add field for customer's account number
Add a field to input the customer's account number that is used for billing purposes. If we need to look things up, this would add to the effort to make Matrix a one-stop shop.

Do you think that this is something that the Tags pod on each Account Profile could handle for you?
ex: tag an account with the account number. If you needed to look up accounts by account number, then you could use the Tags filter on the Account list and get right to the accounts marked with your tags entered.
I'd be happy to walk you through this process if you'd be willing to try out a scenario and see how it flows.

Yes, simple info I navigate to find. I use Matrix to access customer's phone numbers (email auto-populates) and I had a need to locate a customer's account number. Instead of keeping a separate list of customer's names and account numbers, it just made sense to me to have a place where the data could be entered in Matrix as opposed to having to look it up somewhere else. So, in this case, yes, I envisioned, "Oh, Tom's Hardware is 13430443."

Are you envisioning this as a simple extra field that you can edit on the account profile and you would reference again by navigating to the account profile to see "oh, Tom's Hardware is 13430443" ?
