Training modules need a human voice over.
The content is great but the computerized, awkward delivery of the content wastes a lot of time. It does not create a smooth, positive, or engaging listening/training experience.
I checked in with our writer and instructional designer to see if this is possible and it turns out that we tried this in the past and found that it took us 3-4x longer to produce the materials than it did with a generated voice after all the editing and multiple takes.
While we’re thrilled that you feel the content is great, we’re sorry that you feel the delivery method isn’t. Unfortunately, it is the only way we can proceed right now in order to stay up to date with our rapid releases.
She did mention to me, however, that they are looking into a voice with a more American accent …though they suspect it would still have the same somewhat awkward inflections in the voice.
